Having issues with TradeAlert.Pro? This guide covers common problems and their solutions. Most issues can be resolved in minutes.
Quick Diagnostic Checklist
Before diving deep, check these common issues:
- ☐Is your phone number verified in the dashboard?
- ☐Have you exceeded your monthly call limit? (Check dashboard)
- ☐Is your webhook URL correct in TradingView? (Copy from dashboard)
- ☐Do you have TradingView Pro, Premium, or Ultimate? (Webhooks required)
- ☐Is your phone on, with signal, and not in airplane mode?
Phone Call Issues
Not Receiving Calls
Problem: Phone doesn't ring when alert triggers
Possible causes and solutions:
1. Phone number not verified
Check: Go to dashboard → Settings → Verify your phone number is listed
Fix: Re-verify your phone number. You'll receive a 6-digit code via SMS.
2. Monthly call limit exceeded
Check: Dashboard shows "3/3 calls used" (Free Plan)
Fix: Upgrade to Premium ($8/month for unlimited calls) or wait until next month
3. Phone in airplane mode or no signal
Check: Verify phone has cellular signal
Fix: Disable airplane mode, ensure you're in coverage area
4. Number blocked by carrier
Check: Calls come from a US number - check if it's blocked
Fix: Check your blocked numbers list, whitelist unknown numbers temporarily
5. Incorrect phone number
Check: Verify number in dashboard includes correct country code
Fix: Update phone number with proper country code (e.g., +1 for USA)
Delayed Calls
Problem: Calls arrive 5+ seconds after alert
Possible causes:
- Carrier network delays - Your phone carrier may have routing delays (rare)
- Poor signal area - Weak cellular signal can delay call connection
- TradingView webhook delay - Very rare, but TradingView may delay webhook (< 1s typically)
Diagnosis:
- Check your dashboard call log
- Compare "Webhook Received" time vs "Call Initiated" time
- If gap is < 1 second, delay is from phone carrier
- If gap is > 1 second, contact support
Fix:
- Ensure strong cellular signal (3+ bars)
- Contact your phone carrier about call routing delays
- Enable SMS backup for redundancy
Can't Hear Message Clearly
Problem: Message is garbled or unclear
Possible causes and solutions:
- Poor phone signal - Move to area with better reception
- Message too long - Keep TradingView alert messages under 100 characters
- Special characters - Remove emojis, symbols that don't speak well
- Too fast speech - Use punctuation to add pauses: "BTC. Long entry. At 50000."
TradingView Webhook Issues
Webhook Not Triggering
Problem: TradingView alert doesn't send webhook
Checklist:
1. Verify TradingView plan supports webhooks
✓ Pro, Premium, Ultimate plans - webhooks included
✗ Free/Essential plan - no webhooks
2. Check "Webhook URL" is enabled
In TradingView alert: Notifications tab → "Webhook URL" checkbox must be checked
3. Verify webhook URL is correct
Copy URL fresh from your dashboard - don't type it manually
Format: https://api.tradealert.pro/webhook/...
4. Confirm alert condition is being met
Check the chart - is price actually crossing your alert level?
5. Check alert frequency setting
"Only Once" alerts delete after first trigger. Use "Once Per Bar Close" for recurring alerts.
Webhook Error in TradingView
Problem: TradingView shows webhook failed
Common error messages:
"Webhook URL is not valid"
Fix: Copy your webhook URL again from dashboard. Ensure no extra spaces or characters.
"Webhook delivery failed"
Fix: Check TradeAlert.Pro status. Verify your account is active and within limits.
"Too many requests"
Fix: You've hit TradingView's rate limit (60/min or 500/hour). Reduce alert frequency.
Webhook Receives But No Call
Problem: Dashboard shows webhook received, but no phone call
Diagnosis steps:
- Check dashboard call log - what's the status?
- Look for error messages in call log
- Verify you haven't exceeded monthly limit
- Confirm phone number is verified
Common statuses:
| Status | Meaning | Solution |
|---|---|---|
| Completed | Call connected successfully | Check your phone |
| No Answer | Phone rang but wasn't answered | Enable SMS backup |
| Busy | Phone was on another call | SMS backup sent |
| Failed | Couldn't connect to phone | Verify number, check signal |
| Limit Exceeded | Monthly call limit reached | Upgrade to Premium |
Account & Settings Issues
Can't Verify Phone Number
Problem: Not receiving verification SMS
Solutions:
- Wait 2-3 minutes - SMS can be delayed by carriers
- Verify country code is correct (+1 for USA, +44 for UK, etc.)
- Check number format - no spaces, dashes, or parentheses
- Try requesting a new code (wait 60 seconds between requests)
- Check SMS isn't filtered to spam folder
- Ensure phone can receive SMS from unknown numbers
Can't Log In
Problem: Forgot password or can't access account
Solutions:
- Use "Forgot Password" link on sign-in page
- Check email spam folder for password reset link
- Verify you're using the correct email address
- Clear browser cache and cookies
- Try a different browser or incognito mode
Webhook URL Not Working After Regeneration
Problem: Regenerated webhook URL but alerts stopped
Fix:
- Copy the NEW webhook URL from your dashboard
- Edit EACH TradingView alert individually
- Replace the old URL with the new one
- Save each alert
- Test with "Send Test Call" in dashboard
Important
When you regenerate your webhook URL, the old URL immediately stops working. You must update ALL your TradingView alerts with the new URL.
Payment & Subscription Issues
Payment Failed
Problem: Can't upgrade to Premium
Common causes:
- Insufficient funds in account
- Card expired or blocked
- Billing address mismatch
- Card issuer declined transaction
Fix:
- Verify card details are correct
- Check with your bank/card issuer
- Try a different payment method
- Contact support if issue persists
Can't Cancel Subscription
Problem: Unable to cancel Premium plan
Steps:
- Log in to your dashboard
- Click your username → "Manage Subscription"
- Click "Cancel Subscription"
- Confirm cancellation
- You'll stay Premium until end of billing period
- Then automatically downgrade to Free Plan
Performance Issues
Dashboard Loading Slowly
Quick fixes:
- Clear browser cache and cookies
- Try a different browser
- Check your internet connection
- Disable browser extensions temporarily
- Use incognito/private mode to test
