Setup & Getting Started

How long does setup take?

Complete setup takes less than 5 minutes. You'll create an account (30 seconds), verify your phone number (1 minute), copy your webhook URL (10 seconds), and configure your first TradingView alert (2-3 minutes).

Do I need a TradingView Pro account?

Yes, webhooks are only available on TradingView Pro ($14.95/month), Premium ($29.95/month), or Ultimate ($59.95/month) plans. The free TradingView plan does not support webhooks.

What phone numbers are supported?

We support phone numbers from over 200 countries. Both mobile and landline numbers work. Make sure your number can receive voice calls and SMS for verification.

Can I use my international phone number?

Yes! We support international numbers. Make sure to include your country code when entering your phone number (e.g., +44 for UK, +61 for Australia).

Do I need to download an app?

No app required! TradeAlert.Pro calls your regular phone number. You receive alerts on any phone - smartphone, landline, or basic mobile phone.

How much does TradeAlert.Pro cost?

We offer two plans:

  • Premium Plan - $8/month - Unlimited calls

Is there a free trial?

Yes! Our Free Plan gives you 3 calls per month forever - no credit card required. You can test the service fully before upgrading to Premium.

Can I cancel anytime?

Absolutely. Cancel your Premium subscription anytime from your dashboard. You'll automatically revert to the Free Plan (3 calls/month) at the end of your billing period. No cancellation fees.

What happens if I exceed my call limit?

On the Free Plan, you won't receive calls after using your 3 monthly calls. You'll get an alert in your dashboard when you're close to the limit. Upgrade to Premium for unlimited calls.

Do you offer refunds?

We offer a 14-day money-back guarantee on Premium subscriptions. If you're not satisfied within 14 days of purchase, contact us for a full refund.

What payment methods do you accept?

We accept all major credit cards (Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Discover) via Stripe. All payments are secure and encrypted.

Do you offer SMS backup?

Yes! If a phone call fails to connect, we automatically send an SMS as backup. This ensures you never miss an alert even if your phone is unreachable.

Can I customize the voice message?

The message content comes from your TradingView alert message field. You can customize it to say anything you want - ticker, price, strategy name, action, etc.

What voice is used for calls?

We use a clear, professional text-to-speech voice optimized for reading trading information quickly and accurately.

Can I have multiple phone numbers?

Currently, each account supports one verified phone number. You can change your phone number in settings at any time. If you need multiple numbers, contact us about enterprise plans.

How many alerts can I set up?

Unlimited! You can create as many TradingView alerts as you want. On the Free Plan, you'll receive the first 3 calls per month. Premium gets unlimited calls.

What happens if I miss a call?

We try calling once. If you miss it, check your dashboard for the call log showing the alert details. If SMS backup is enabled, you'll also receive the message via text.

Security & Privacy

Is my webhook URL secure?

Yes. Your webhook URL contains a unique, randomly generated ID that only you know. Keep your URL private and don't share it publicly. If compromised, you can regenerate a new URL from your dashboard.

Can someone else trigger alerts to my phone?

Only if they have your unique webhook URL. Never share your webhook URL publicly. If you believe it's been compromised, regenerate it immediately from your dashboard settings.

Do you store my phone number?

Yes, we securely store your verified phone number to deliver calls. We never share your number with third parties or use it for marketing. See our Privacy Policy for details.

Do you record phone calls?

No, we do not record your phone calls. Calls are delivered in real-time and not recorded or stored.

Is my payment information secure?

All payments are processed through Stripe, a PCI-compliant payment processor. We never store your credit card information on our servers.

Troubleshooting

I'm not receiving calls - what should I check?

Check these common issues:

  • Verify your phone number is correct in your dashboard
  • Ensure you haven\'t exceeded your monthly call limit
  • Check that your webhook URL is correct in TradingView
  • Verify your phone has signal and isn\'t in airplane mode
  • Make sure the number isn\'t blocked by your carrier

My TradingView alert isn't triggering

Verify: (1) Your alert condition is being met on the chart, (2) The webhook URL checkbox is enabled in TradingView notifications, (3) Your webhook URL is pasted correctly, (4) Your TradingView plan supports webhooks (Pro/Premium/Ultimate required).

The phone call is delayed

Phone calls typically arrive in under 2 seconds. Delays can be caused by: (1) TradingView webhook delays (rare), (2) Your phone carrier network, (3) Phone in poor signal area. Check your dashboard to see when we received the webhook vs when the call was placed.

I can't hear the message clearly

Ensure you have good phone signal. If the issue persists, the alert message might be too long or contain special characters. Try shortening your TradingView alert message to essential information only.

How do I regenerate my webhook URL?

Go to your dashboard settings and click "Regenerate Webhook URL". You'll receive a new unique URL. Make sure to update all your TradingView alerts with the new URL.

What trading styles work best with phone alerts?

Phone alerts excel for: (1) Day trading - instant notifications for scalps and breakouts, (2) Swing trading - overnight alerts for gap plays, (3) Options trading - time-sensitive opportunities, (4) Crypto trading - 24/7 monitoring across exchanges. Any strategy requiring fast action benefits from phone calls.

How many alerts should I set up?

Start with 3-5 high-quality setups. Too many alerts create noise and alert fatigue. Focus on your best trading strategies and most important levels. You can always add more as you refine your system.

Should I enable other TradingView notifications too?

Yes! Enable both webhook (for phone calls) AND app notifications. This gives you redundancy - if one method fails, you still get notified. The webhook will always be fastest.

Can I use this for algorithmic trading?

TradeAlert.Pro is designed for manual trader notifications, not automated execution. The phone calls alert you to take action. For automated trading execution, you'd need a separate system that processes TradingView webhooks differently.

What message format works best?

Keep messages clear and actionable: "BTC long entry at 50000" or "SPY resistance break - momentum trade". Include: (1) Ticker, (2) Action/direction, (3) Price level, (4) Optional: strategy name. Avoid long messages - keep under 20 words for clarity.

Account Management

How do I change my phone number?

Go to your dashboard settings, click "Change Phone Number", enter and verify your new number. You'll receive a verification code via SMS.

How do I upgrade to Premium?

Click "Upgrade to Premium" in your dashboard. You'll be redirected to Stripe checkout. After payment, your account is immediately upgraded to unlimited calls.

How do I downgrade from Premium?

Go to your dashboard, click "Manage Subscription", then "Cancel Subscription". You'll remain on Premium until the end of your billing period, then automatically revert to Free Plan (3 calls/month).

Can I see my call history?

Yes, your dashboard shows all received webhooks and calls, including timestamp, message content, status, and phone number called.

How do I delete my account?

Contact us through the dashboard or email support to request account deletion. All your data will be permanently deleted within 30 days.
